A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle Thursday night near the intersection of Hayden and Osborn roads, Scottsdale police said.

The man was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital, according to Scottsdale police Sgt. Brian Reynolds.

Hayden Road is closed between Indian School and Thomas roads for an undetermined amount of time while officials investigate.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and was cooperating with investigators, Reynolds said.
