CORINTH, NY : Two women suffer minor injuries in car crash on Sunday, December, 17th 2017
Two young women were transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries after the driver struck a tree Sunday morning, according to police.
Kiera T. Daniels, 26, of Troy, was charged with driving while intoxicated, second degree vehicular assault and failure to keep right as a result of the intoxication, according to a news release from the Saratoga County Sheriffs office.
Daniels was driving her 2004 Honda Pilot on West Maple Street in the village around 1:46 a.m. when she hit the tree. Her passenger, Ariannah S. Reyes, 24, also of Troy, suffered more serious injuries than Daniels.
Reyes was transported to Saratoga Hospital for hip pain and was then transferred to Albany Medical Center as a result. She is listed in stable condition, according to the release.
Daniels was also transported to Saratoga Hospital for neck pain and bruising and was treated and released.
She was arraigned by Corinth Town Justice Lane Schermerhorn and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $1000 cash bail or $2000 secure bond.
