Richmond, VA : Chesterfield man killed when van crashes into home on Thursday, Frbruary 26, 2015

Chesterfield County officials say a resident was killed when a minivan crashed into the victim's home.

Fire Lt. Jason Elmore tells media outlets that the driver had a medical emergency that caused him to plow into the home. Elmore says the vehicle ran through the entire house and ended up in the back yard.

The driver and a passenger were taken to a hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Elmore says it wasn't clear whether the resident was struck by the vehicle or died because of the home's collapse.

Officials did not immediately identify the victim.
