Lincoln, NE : Nebraska man dies after 2-vehicle collision on Friday, December 16th 2016

A 61-year-old Stella man died Friday after his car collided with a truck in southeastern Nebraska, according to the Richardson County Sheriff's Office.Around 1:30 p.m., Dennis Lockard's Chevrolet Cavalier was headed west on Nebraska 62 west of Stella when it hit Timothy Shoup's Ford pickup headed southbound on U.S. 75, the sheriff's office said.

Lockard was pronounced dead at the scene. The extent of the injuries of Shoup, a 48-year-old Omaha resident, were unknown Monday.

Lockard failed to yield the right of way, according to the sheriff's office.
