DAVIDSON COUNTY, NC : beloved elementary teacher and her husband pass away in a tragic car crash on Wednesday, 9th August 2023

Stephanie and her husband Bruce Schneggenburger were beloved throughout the Davidson County community and beyond.

North Carolina State Highway Patrol said and her husband died in a car crash when a truck hit them head-on, over the weekend.

WFMY News 2 spoke to one of Stephanie's hallmates and best friends at Wallburg Elementary who knew her for two decades. She says the couple was approaching their wedding anniversary. Stephanie's daughter says her mom was a devoted wife, grandmother, and school teacher who was strong in her faith.
