A crash involving four vehicles, including a semi-truck and a U.S. mail truck, shut down U.S. Highway 27 in both directions in Clermont for more than two hours Monday afternoon.
Clermont police said the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. in the area of Hunt Street, which is just south of the Citrus Tower. The road reopened around 6 p.m.
Police said reported injuries were minor, but a liquid fertilizer spilled on the roadway and needed to be cleaned up before the highway could reopen.
