One person has been taken to Skyline Medical Center with serious injuries after a Tuesday morning crash involving a train and car in Greenbrier, according to authorities.
The victim's name has yet to be released, but Greenbrier Police Sgt. Curtis Scott said he appeared to be about 80 years old, and he was driving a newer-model Nissan Rogue with Clarksville tags.
Emergency crews remained on the scene, at the railroad crossing on Main Street behind the Citgo gas station, for more than an hour after the crash, according to Scott.
"He was very lucky to have non life-threatening injuries, especially considering his age," he said of the victim.
