Brunswick, ME : 55-year-old man injured, charged with OUI following three-car crash on Bath road on Tuesday night, March 10, 2015
A 55-year-old Bath man allegedly crossed the centerline Tuesday night on Bath Road, hitting another car head-on and triggering a three-car crash that sent the Bath man to the hospital.
A 2002 Pontiac driven by Jonathan Hackett was headed west on Bath Road near Pine Street just before 8:15 p.m., when it allegedly crossed into the eastbound land, crashing into a 2005 Honda passenger car driven by 45-year-old Gerald Reid of Harpswell, Brunswick Police Cmdr. Marc Hagan said Wednesday morning.
A 2002 Volvo driven by 17-year-old Madelyn Wade of Topsham then hit Reid’s car, according to Hagan.
Neither Reid nor Wade was injured.
Brunswick firefighters extricated Hackett from his vehicle, then took him to Mid Coast Hospital with a complaint of chest pain, Hagan said.
He was charged with operating under the influence and operating after license suspension. A court date was not immediately available.
