Caldwell, ID: Loaded school bus with children on board crashes through fence on Thursday afternoon 6th November 2014
Canyon County sheriff’s deputies were called out to the 20000 block of Wells road where a bus crashed through a fence. Deputies say the crash happened around 3:40 p.m. on Thursday.
Investigators say a truck was backing out of a driveway as the bus was traveling north on Wells. The truck tagged the front of the bus causing it to veer off the road to the left and through a wooden fence with brick pillars.
Deputies say there were 37 school kids on the bus at the time and 10 complained of injuries. They said none of the students were seriously injured, just a few shaken up. The school bus was from a charter school called Vision Academy.
Canyon County sheriff’s deputies say they did cite the truck driver for improper backing. The owner of the house where the crash happened says the truck driver was not hurt.
