Allentown ,PA : 51- Years old James Schreiner killed in crash after his car plowed into a home on Friday Midnight ,April 10th 2015

Authorities in eastern Pennsylvania say a man was killed when his car plowed into a home in Allentown.

The Lehigh County coroner's office said 51-year-old James Schreiner of South Whitehall Township was pronounced dead shortly before midnight Friday.

Police said his car failed to stop at a stop sign and then hit the house, where officials said no one was home.

Police and paramedics had to cut off the roof of the crumpled car to reach the victim. Officials said the impact damaged a UGI gas line and meter outside, and utility workers were called to shut off the gas.

The coroner's office said Schreiner died of blunt force trauma and the death was ruled an accident. Police are awaiting toxicology tests to determine whether alcohol was a factor.
