COLUMBIA CITY, IN : A multi-vehicle crash on U.S. 30 near CR 800 E on Monday, 26th August 2019

A multi-vehicle crash on U.S. 30 near CR 800 E about 4:30 p.m. has caused highway gridlock, essentially turning the dual-lane highway into a parking lot.

Avoid the area and use an alternate route while crews are working the accident and opening the highway for normal travel.

Initial reports indicated that continuing highway construction was at the location of the accident.
