Golden Gate Bridge, CA : Several hurt in limousine crash on Highway 101 near Golden Gate Bridge on Saturday, December 20, 2014
San Francisco, California
Several people were taken to the hospital when a limousine traveling downhill from the Marin Headlands on Saturday afternoon crashed into two southbound cars on Highway 101 just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, the California Highway Patrol reported.
"Several people were transported to the hospital, but the injuries aren't expected to be fatal," CHP Information Officer Andrew Barclay said.
The cars hit a concrete barrier hard enough to push it into northbound traffic, Barclay said, partially blocking lanes in both directions after the crash at about 3:30 p.m. Traffic was heavy in both directions until the wreckage was cleared and Caltrans put the barriers back in place. It was flowing normally by 5:30 p.m., Barclay said.
