A Unified police officer and another man were injured in a crash Thursday night.
Both drivers claim they had the right of way, according to the Utah Highway Patrol, which is investigating the crash.
About 9:10 p.m., a veteran female officer driving a Ford Taurus collided with another vehicle while turning onto state Route 201 at 7200 West.
The man driving the other car had to be extricated from his vehicle, according to troopers. Both drivers were taken to local hospitals with injuries not considered to be life-threatening. Both claimed the traffic light was green in their favor, according to the UHP.
The officer, who was off duty at the time and driving an unmarked police vehicle, was reported to be in fair condition Friday.
Neither of the names of the drivers were released Friday.
