Alakanuk ,AK :21-year-old Cecilia Chikigak killed after All Terrain Vehicle Crash on Tuesday ,August 11th 2015

A 21-year-old woman in the Southwest Alaska village of Alakanuk was killed late Tuesday in an ATV crash, according to Alaska State Troopers.

An investigation showed Cecilia Chikigak, 21, of Alakanuk, was killed after she drove off a road “at a high rate of speed” and hit a metal shipping container, troopers said in a report posted online Wednesday afternoon.

Chikigak was thrown off the ATV and killed on impact, the report said. Her body will be sent to the state medical examiner for an autopsy, troopers said.
