Gadsden, AL : Boaz woman dies in single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 431 on Thursday afternoon, February 23, 2017

A Marshall County woman was killed Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 431.

Tina Battles Pendergrass, 39, of Boaz, was killed when the 2006 Nissan Murano she was driving left the roadway and struck a tree, according to Alabama State Troopers.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. According to a press release from Alabama State Troopers, she was not using a seat belt.
The crash occurred at 4:20 p.m. at the 270-mile marker on U.S. 431, 3 miles north of Attalla.
Troopers are continuing to investigate the crash.
