Elyria, OH : Judy Pullin was killed in a car crash at State Route 162 on Sunday, 25th September, 2016
A New London woman was killed in a car crash Sunday.
Judy Pullin, 69, of Cook Road, was driving a black 2009 Pontiac Vibe west on state Route 162 about 6:42 p.m. Sunday. According to a news release from the Ohio Highway Patrol, she failed to yield for a stop sign at the
intersection of state Route 511, and was struck by a white Ford F-150 pickup, which did not have a stop sign. Both vehicles overturned and went off the road.
Pullin, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the patrol.
The Ford was driven by Jeffrey Seanor, 68, of Louisville, with two passengers: Laura Nelson, 51, and Karen Seanor, 74, also from Louisville. The patrol said all three sustained incapacitating injuries. Jeffrey Seanor and
Nelson, both of whom were wearing seat belts, were transported to Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin, while Karen Seanor was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
Karen Seanor was listed in fair condition Monday. Conditions for the other two injured people were not available.
The crash remains under investigation, according to the patrol.
Pastor Jim Ellis of the Rochester United Methodist Church in Wellington, said Pullin was a “kind, wonderful person, a good Christian, and a good, personal friend.”
Ellis said Pullin was an avid churchgoer and played and taught the dulcimer, a stringed-musical instrument and sang in the choir.
“(Playing the dulcimer) was an important part of her life,” Ellis said. “She was very good at it.”
