Canon, CO : Florence man dies in U.S. 50 crash on Friday, 4th November 2016
A Florence man died in a single-vehicle crash Friday after being ejected, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Larry Bohl Sr., 62, was traveling westbound on U.S. 50 when he lost control of a 2000 Ford Ranger pickup, a news release said.
The crash occurred about two miles west of McCulloch Boulevard in Pueblo West.
Bohl was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene by the Pueblo County Coroner.
“The Ford rotated in a clockwise direction, traveled off the right (north) side of the road rolling two complete times while colliding with a fence and ejecting the driver,” the news release said.
The Ford's passenger, Larry Bohl Jr., 37, of Pueblo County was wearing a seatbelt but suffered serious injuries.
He was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Excessive speed and/or alcohol and drugs are not being considered as factors in the crash.
CSP is still investigating the cause of the crash.
