Colorado Springs , CO : Driver of the Saturn killed after struck head-on by an eastbound Bestway tractor-trailer along Highway 94 o Wednesday morning , February 11th 2015

One person was killed in a head-on crash Wednesday morning on Colorado 94 in east Colorado Springs.

Highway 94 was closed for hours between Space Village Avenue and Coral Valley Road while the crash was investigated, but lanes reopened around 2:45 p.m.

A westbound Saturn station wagon apparently crossed into the eastbound lanes near the crest of a hill and was struck head-on by an eastbound Bestway tractor-trailer, Colorado Springs police said. The driver of the Saturn died at the scene of the 9:15 a.m. crash, just east of Space Village Avenue.

The name of the driver has not been released by the coroner's office.
