Castaic, CA : Two injured after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 126 near Castaic on Saturday, February 21, 2015
A young child, believed to be eight to 10 years old, and an adult male were taken to nearby hospitals with moderate injuries Saturday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash near where Newhall Ranch Road turns into Highway 126, according to officials.
A red sedan crashed on a transition road to northbound Interstate 5.
The car came to a rest about 50 feet off the roadway.
The crash was reported at around 12:41 p.m., according to information from the California Highway Patrol.
The child was airlifted via helicopter to a trauma center in Northridge following the crash, said CHP Sgt. Paul Reyes.
The male was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.
