Denver,CO: West High teen who caused double-fatality crash sentenced to one year in jail on December, Thursday 21st 2017

Faced with one crime victim asking for leniency in the sentencing of her perpetrator, and the families of two others asking for a young man to be sent to prison for killing their sons, 3rd District Judge Keith Kelly asked for time to think.

After about 15 minutes, Kelly came back in followed a plea deal: One year in jail, 60 months of probation and a restitution amount to be decided later for Abraham Miranda, who pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree manslaughter.

Miranda, 19, caused a February car crash that killed two of his West High School classmates and critically injured a pregnant woman and her unborn child.
