Dinwiddie County, VA : Driver killed in tractor trailer crash on I-85 south in Dinwiddie early Friday morning, July 15, 2016

Early this morning, the driver of a tractor-trailer was killed when his vehicle struck a ditch and overturned on I-85 in Dinwiddie County.

Around 2:40 a.m., a 2000 Sterling tractor-trailer hauling shingles was traveling southbound on I-85 and ran off the road to the left a quarter mile north of exit 48 in Dinwiddie County.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Virginia State Police have not released the driver’s name yet, but are considering driver fatigue to be a factor in the crash.
