Orlando ,FL : Arrest made in deadly Orlando -area hit-and-run crash on Wednesday ,July 1st 2015

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol said they have taken into custody the suspect believed to be involved in a deadly hit-and-run incident in Orlando on Wednesday.

Bruce Kuiper, 58, was struck and killed as he and a passerby were attempting to fix an issue with his wife's car. Ling Heung said she had pulled over at the intersection of Lake Underhill and Deerwood, when her car broke down.

"They were out of the cars talking when a red Nissan Pathfinder passed them going westbound. For some reason, that Pathfinder went into reverse and struck both the vehicles," explained FHP spokesperson Trooper Wanda Diaz on Thursday.

Kuiper later died of a brain injury.

The FHP had narrowed down their search for red Nissan Pathfinders to 16 vehicles in the Orlando area, one of which was discovered in a driveway about four miles from the crash scene.
