RapidCity, SD : Three injured in Deadwood Avenue head-on crash on Saturday, November, 11th 2017

A Rapid City man suffered life-threatening injuries, and a Piedmont teen was seriously injured in a head-on crash Saturday evening on Deadwood Avenue near the intersection of Plant Street.

Identities of those involved were not immediately released. The cause of the accident remained under investigation Sunday, according to police.

The accident occurred at 5:21 p.m., when a southbound pickup truck, driven by a 24-year-old Rapid City man, veered into the northbound lane and hit an oncoming pickup truck head-on.

The driver of the northbound pickup, a 53-year-old Piedmont man, suffered minor injuries. The injured teen was his passenger, said Sgt. Kathleen Phillips of the Rapid City Police Department.
