Nashville ,TN : Driver accused of wrong way along Interstate 24 on early Tuesday morning ,May 26th 2015

The driver who police said caused a serious crash by driving the wrong way on Interstate 24 has been identified.

Police said Charles Shaw III admitted to taking prescription pain killers before getting behind the wheel and driving on I-24 the wrong way early Tuesday morning.

Shaw's car hit another vehicle head-on. Two people were hurt but are expected to be OK.

Police said Shaw was driving on a suspended license from a previous DUI.
