Willmar, MN : 52-year-old man injured in Highway 71 crash on Tuesday morning, March 7, 2017

A 52-year-old Willmar man was injured Tuesday morning in a broadside crash on U.S. Highway 71 just north of Willmar.

According to the State Patrol, Marco Tulio Munos was transported to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar with non-life threatening injuries after the 8 a.m. crash.

He had been driving a 1997 Ford Escort north on Highway 71.

At the same time, 16-year-old Devin Jon Fuchs, also of Willmar, was driving a 2004 Acura TL southbound on Highway 71.

Fuchs made a left turn onto Kandiyohi County Road 90, and his Acura collided with the Ford Escort at the intersection.

Fuchs was not injured.

Road conditions were wet at the time. The State Patrol said Munos had not been wearing a seatbelt.
