Hagerstown, MD : 17-year-old dies in Metal Township accident on Wednesday, December 21st 2016

A 17-year-old Spring Run, Pa., boy died after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving Wednesday night on Path Valley Road in Metal Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The accident happened shortly after 9:30 p.m., when the driver, whose name was not released, lost control of the northbound vehicle as it was heading into a turn in the 6400 block of Path Valley Road (Pa. 75), according to a news release from state police.

Troopers said the vehicle spun backward and struck a concrete culvert on the east side of the roadway.

The accident remains under investigation, the release said.
