Sierra Vista, AZ : A man and three children were killed when man fell asleep at the wheel fell asleep and struck a tree at near milepost 266 On Monday, April 26th, 2016

A man and three children were killed Monday night north of Payson when the man reportedly fell asleep at the wheel.

#Jason Jeffrey Bob, 28, of Mesa, was driving northbound on State Route 87 in a Ford station wagon when it appears he feel asleep around 10 p.m., said a spokesperson with the Department of Public Safety.

#The vehicle went off the road near milepost 266 and struck a tree, spinning the station wagon around where it came to rest facing southbound traffic.

#Bob died on scene along with a 15-month-old boy, 6-year-old boy and 5-month-old girl.

The 15-month-old was unrestrained and the 6-year-old was ejected from the vehicle.

#Passenger Ophelia Stephanie Begay, 27, of Pinon Ariz., was taken to Maricopa Medical Center. She was wearing a seat belt.
