One person was killed and two were injured in a rollover Saturday in Fargo, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Three females were in a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze traveling north on at a high rate of speed on Cass County Road 31 near 64th Avenue North at about shortly after 3 p.m., the patrol said. The patrol said the car left the roadway, entered the north ditch, vaulted over 64th Avenue North and rolled over when it landed. The car came to rest against a tree in the front yard of a residence.
Two of the three female passengers were ejected when the car rolled, the patrol said. One suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second landed in the tree the vehicle struck, the patrol said. She was transported by F-M Ambulance Services to Sanford Medical Center for serious injuries.
The driver was removed from the vehicle and was also transported to Sanford Medical Center for serious injuries. The patrol said charges against the driver are pending.
The names of the driver and passengers will be released after family notifications are made.
The patrol did not state if any of the three women were wearing seat belts.
The patrol is investigating the crash.
Cass County Sheriff’s Office and West Fargo and Harwood Fire departments also responded to the scene.
