Orlando, FL : Road ranger struck in hit-and-run crash on S.R. 408 Monday morning, December 22, 2014

A road ranger was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash on State Road 408 Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said the road ranger was assisting vehicles involved in a previous crash on the westbound lanes of S.R. 408 near Crystal Lake Road when a black SUV caused a second crash and struck him. The driver of the SUV fled the scene and the road ranger suffered minor injuries, according to investigators. Troopers said the road ranger had his lights on and gear out at the time of the crash.
