STAMFORD, CT : Car crashes into Oaklawn Avenue home on Friday, 29th November, 2019

A car crashed into an Oaklawn Avenue house Friday afternoon, impacting live power lines and causing emergency responders to shut down a stretch of the roadway, officials said.
Police said Oaklawn Avenue is shut down to traffic between Pepper Ridge Road and Clifford Avenue because of a motor vehicle accident.
The Belltown Volunteer Fire Department, which has fire headquarters near the crash site, posted on Twitter about the incident shortly before 3 p.m.
Fire officials said Eversource Energy personnel had to respond on a priority one call before the driver could be removed from the car.
