CHICO, CA : One pedestrian dead in collision on Nord Avenue at La Linda Lane on Friday, 11th September, 2020

A pedestrian died from a vehicle collision Friday night, the Chico Police Department said in a press release.

The collision occurred on Nord Avenue at La Linda Lane. At approximately 9:15 p.m. Friday the Chico Police Department received a call of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. When officers arrived on the scene they found the pedestrian unresponsive.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where lifesaving efforts were performed but were unsuccessful, the release said.

The road was closed for about five hours while the Chico Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team investigated the scene.
