LAS ANIMAS, CO : 1 killed in Las Animas County crash on Highway 350 on Sunday, 17th February 2019

A 21-year-old man was killed after losing control of his vehicle in Las Animas County Sunday morning.

The driver was traveling eastbound on Highway 350 just before 1 a.m. when he went off the road near milepost 5. He overcorrected trying to get his Ford F-150 back on the roadway and spun across the highway. The truck then flipped and rolled down an embankment before crashing through a barbed-wire fence. It came to a stop on its roof.

The driver was wearing a seat belt but suffered traumatic injuries and died at the scene. He has been identified as Dylan O'Connor, from Model. O'Connor was the only person in the vehicle.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in the crash.
