Charlotte, NC : One person seriously injured in CATS bus crash on Tuesday afternoon September 22 2015

Traffic was being rerouted around a crash in the 9000-block of Statesville Road near west WT Harris Boulevard that sent one person to the hospital.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, CATS bus 1002 was traveling north on Statesville Road when a bicyclist turned into the path of the bus, and the bus swerved. The right front of the bus then hit the bike.
According to Medic, one patient was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries. Police say the bicyclist was in critical condition.
The bicyclist was reportedly not wearing a helmet or reflective clothing at the time of the crash.
The driver and one passenger were on the bus when it happened. Neither of them were injured.
