JEROME, ID : Two Eastern Idaho motorcyclists were injured in a crash on Saturday, May 27, 2017
Two Eastern Idaho motorcyclists were injured Saturday night on Interstate 84 in Jerome County.
According to the Idaho State Police, Aaron D. Keele, 43, of Idaho Falls, was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound at about 7 p.m. near milepost 173 when he made an unsafe lane change and struck Jeffrey T. Lovell, 37, of Rigby, who was driving a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Lovell and his passenger, Makisha M. Sorensen, 37, of Rigby, were ejected from the motorcycle, coming to rest in the lane of travel.Lovell and Sorensen were transported by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. Keele was not transported. Keele was wearing a helmet; Lovell and Sorensen were not.
The lanes of travel were blocked for approximately one hour and ten minutes while crews worked to clear the scene.
