Louisiana State Police say a 28-year-old who wasn't wearing a seat belt died when she was thrown from an SUV. Trooper Michael Reichardt says Kimberly Henderson of Monroe was a passenger in a Cadillac Escalade that went out of control on Interstate 20, then was hit by a tractor-trailer and overturned. He says it's not clear just when Henderson was ejected. The accident occurred about 7 a.m. Friday about three miles west of the Ouachita-Lincoln Parish line. Reichardt says the SUV's driver told investigators she lost control after moving out of the way of a merging vehicle and hitting something in the road. Police says the accident is still being investigated. Reichardt notes that state law requires everyone in a vehicle to wear seat belts, no matter where they're sitting. source :
