Knox County, TN : Driver killed after hitting pole in West Knox County Monday on September 8, 2014

An early morning wreck killed one person in West Knox County Monday. The Knox County Sheriff's Office said the driver of a 1999 Mazda hit a utility pole on Middlebrook Pike near Walden Legacy Way just after 6 a.m. Investigators said the vehicle crossed through the median and hit the pole head on, and emergency officials pronounced the victim dead at Parkwest Hospital.
