Wausau, WI : Infant, 2 adults injured in McMillan crash on Thursday morning, September 1, 2016

Two adults and an infant were injured Thursday morning in a crash on State 97.

The crash, which involved four vehicles and a vacant building next to the highway, happened between Staadt Road and Birch Street in McMillan, just north of Marshfield, according to the Marathon County Sheriff's Department.

The Marshfield Fire Department responded with two ambulances and took the three people to a hospital, Deputy Fire Chief Scott Owen said. Owen didn't have details on the crash, but said it involved a logging truck.

A portion of State 97 remained closed for several hours and police rerouted traffic onto county highways.

The truck and one vehicle were involved in the initial crash and two additional vehicles were hit with debris, the Sheriff's Department said.
