Watson, LA :Crash involving car and 18-wheeler results in serious injuries on Thursday, July 2nd 2015

Louisiana State Police said a highway has been reopened following a collision between a car and an 18-wheeler that resulted in serious injuries.Troopers reported the crash happened on LA 1019 west of LA 16 in the Watson area. LA 1019 was closed between Amite Church Road and LA 16 while an investigation was conducted and until the vehicles could be removed.Tpr. Bryan Lee with LSP said the driver of the car was taken to the hospital. The person's condition is not known.Investigators have not stated whether charges will be filed.The site of the wreck is not far from where a crash happened Wednesday that left a motorcyclist dead.
