Hagerstown, MD : Child flown to hospital after three-vehicle crash on Cearfoss Pike on Wednesday August 31, 2016
An injured child was flown to Children's National Health System in Washington, D.C., Wednesday afternoon following a three-vehicle crash on Cearfoss Pike in the area of Grace Academy, according to Maryland State Police.
The child's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, a state police spokesman said.
At least one other person was transported to Meritus Medical Center, he said.
The spokesman said Wednesday evening that he did not have details of how the 2:49 p.m. crash had occurred.
Authorities were on the scene for about an hour dealing with the collision. Cearfoss Pike was closed for a period after crash, he said.
