A Dundee woman flown via emergency helicopter from the scene of a Wednesday afternoon head-on collision with a semi-trailer remains hospitalized, but is in stable condition at Akron General, according to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a crash report, Stephanie Mast, 26, County Road 200, was westbound on state Route 39, east of County Road 625, at 1:37 p.m., when her vehicle was struck by an eastbound tractor-trailer, driven by Vernon Troyer, 60, Walnut Creek Bottom, Dundee. Troyer, who reportedly blacked out due to an unknown medical condition, told investigators he does not remember the crash.
Transported from the scene to Pomerene Hospital, Troyer remained under observation on Thursday afternoon, according to Sgt.
