A 55-year-old Bay area man died Friday night after he was struck by a vehicle in Manatee County. Harry Charles Ziegler was pronounced dead at the scene just after 8 pm. The incident occurred near the intersection of US 41 and Braden Ave. in Bradenton. According to a Florida Highway Patrol report Francis Peter was traveling north on US 41 in his 2013 Chevrolet when Ziegler walked directly into his path. The front left side of the vehicle struck the pedestrian, knocking him into the right lane of the roadway. Peter, 47, was not injured in the collision. He was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor the report states. No charges have been filed as the investigation continues. Source : Fatal pedestrian crash in Bradenton Friday night
