Windham,NH : Three cars involved in crash in Windham afternoon on February, Tuesday 27th 2018

Police in Windham are investigating a crash in which one vehicle caught on fire.

The crash happened around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Routes 111 and 28.

The drivers of all three vehicles were taken to the hospital.

Several witnesses stopped to help. Steve Collins, of Hampstead, said he noticed a woman was trapped inside the burning vehicle.

"I went over to help them,” he said. “It took four of us, and we finally got her out of the window. The vehicle was on fire, and so we then moved them up the street about 50 feet.”

Collins said he and the other witnesses pulled a man from another vehicle as well.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
