BOISE, ID : Ada County deputy killed during traffic stop suspect killed by Boise police on Sunday, 21st April 2024

An Ada County Sheriff's deputy was killed by a suspect during a traffic stop Saturday night in Boise.

According to Ada County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Tobin Bolter pulled a vehicle over around 9 p.m. At some point during in interaction, Deputy Bolter was shot by the suspect who drove away from the scene. A citizen nearby called 911 and began CPR on Deputy Bolter who was taken to an area hospital.

The sheriff's office said Deputy Bolter died Sunday morning.
