A man is recovering in the hospital after crashing into a furniture store sign in west Harris County.

Investigators said a man driving a Mustang was speeding down Westgreen at about 12:30 a.m. Friday when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a Katy wholesale furniture store sign and flipped his car over. The driver became pinned under the vehicle and had to be cut free.

He was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious but stable condition.

Police are investigating if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
