A Cave Junction, Oregon man was killed Thursday in a rollover crash.

Trevor Praszek, 18, was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel after being ejected from a car, according to Oregon State Police.

Police said the crash happened on Waldo Road near the intersection of Takilma Road in Cave Junction, according to police. The crash was reported to OSP at 3:20 a.m.

The investigation revealed a 2007 Ford Escape was westbound on Waldo Road when it left the roadway, rolled several times coming to rest on the north side of Waldo Road. The two passengers in the vehicle were ejected. The driver, Dennis Knight, 23, of Cave Junction, fled from the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement, according to police.

The front passenger, a 16 year old unidentified male, was transported to Three Rivers Medical Center for treatment. The rear passenger was Praszek, who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

OSP Detectives arrested Knight, 23, later Thursday. Police said he faces charges of criminally negligent homicide and failure to perform duties of a driver to injured person.

Knight was lodged at the Josephine County Jail.
