Pearl, MS : Three people injured in three-car collision at Hwy 49 and Hwy 80 in Pearl on Friday morning, March 4, 2016

An accident brought traffic to a standstill Friday morning at the intersection of Highways 49 and 80 in Pearl.

Rescue crews had to pull a woman from a gold Ford Focus minivan, which was involved in the crash with an 18-wheeler and a Ford Expedition SUV.

Pearl Police say the red Ford Expedition was westbound on Highway 80. The minivan was turning left to head north on Highway 49 when the Expedition pushed the minivan into the stopped tractor trailer.

The man and woman in the minivan were both taken to a hospital. The woman is in serious condition.

The man in the Expedition was also hospitalized.
