Lowell,MA : Two people injured in wrong-way crash on April, sunday 23th 2017
Two people injured in wrong-way crash on Sunday morning have been identified as Lowell residents, according to state police.
Juan Osorio Marin, 23, of Hudson, was driving north in the southbound lane of F. E. Everett Turnpike at around 2:45 a.m. Osorio Marin collided head-on with a black 2002 Honda Accord containing Lowell residents, 43-year-old Sivann Hem, the driver, and 42-year old Veasna Chap, the passenger.
Nashua fire and rescue had to extricate Osorio Marin from the vehicle. He was driving a silver 2017 Toyota Camry, which sustained significant damage, according to police. Hem and Chap were also extricated from their vehicle. Both were flown by medical helicopter from the scene, one to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, the other to Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
Osorio Marin was taken to Lahey Clinic in Burlington, with what police say are life-threatening injuries.
