LAKEMOOR, IL : A 46-year-old woman from Round Lake Beach who was killed in a Lakemoor crash on Monday, June 12, 2017

A 46-year-old woman from Round Lake Beach who was killed Monday in a Lakemoor crash has been identified by the Lake County Coroner’s Office.

The woman, Rosalba Bocarando, died of multiple traumatic injuries, according to preliminary findings, a news release from the coroner’s office said. Toxicology results are pending. The Lakemoor Police Department was called about 3:45 p.m. to a report of a crash at the intersection of Route 120 and Volo Village Road. First arriving units discovered a green pickup truck on the road and a small black SUV off the road. There was one person outside the pickup truck and one person still in the SUV, the Wauconda Fire District said.

A preliminary investigation suggests that the pickup truck was traveling west on Route 120 when it hit the SUV, which was trying to turn left to head east on Route 120 from Volo Village Road, Lakemoor police said.

Bocarando died at the scene, according to the release. The driver of the pickup, a 32-year-old McHenry man, was taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, officials said.
