Galax, VA : A multiple-vehicle accident on Saturday, August 26, 2017

A multiple-vehicle accident on E. Stuart Drive late Saturday night left two people injured, according to Galax Police Chief Rick Clark.The accident involved a tractor-trailer and two pickup trucks.

The Galax Volunteer Fire Department was on hand to assist with containment and cleanup of materials related to the vehicles, and AEP arrived to shut off power to downed utility lines.

Meanwhile, power outages and road closures along part of E. Stuart Drive continued until 1 p.m. Sunday.
