Findlay, OH : One woman killed, 1 injured after car collided with a van on Ohio 15, southeast of Findlay on Wednesday morning, September 21, 2016

A rural Findlay woman was killed and an Arlington woman was seriously injured when their car collided with a van Wednesday morning on Ohio 15, southeast of Findlay.

The Findlay post of the State Highway Patrol said Roberta Peterson, 71, was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Peterson was passenger in a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Elgene Neiswander, 89, of Arlington.
Neiswander was taken by Hanco Ambulance to Blanchard Valley, where she was admitted with serious injuries, the patrol said.

According to the patrol, Neiswander was northbound on Hancock County 180 at 9:35 a.m. when she failed to yield the right of way at the Ohio 15 intersection, and her car was struck on the passenger side by a westbound 2012 Chevrolet Express van driven by Paul Dubois, 49, of Upper Sandusky.

All of the motorists were wearing seat belts, the patrol said. No citations have been issued and the crash remains under investigation, the patrol said.
The Arlington Fire Department assisted at the accident scene.
